At Barbaro Butchers, we’ve always believed that quality starts long before a cut of meat reaches the counter. For us, it starts at the farm and that’s exactly why we made the decision to purchase our own: Mogumber Farm.

We’re proud to be based in Greenwood, WA, serving our local community with meats we truly stand behind. But behind every steak, sausage, or lamb chop, there’s a story and Mogumber is a big part of ours.

Taking Control of the Whole Journey

Years ago, we reached a point where sourcing livestock externally just didn’t give us the consistency we wanted. As butchers, we could see the difference and so could our customers. We wanted to guarantee quality, every single time. No guessing. No compromising.

Owning our own farm gave us full control over how our animals are raised from breeding to feeding, to the way they’re handled and cared for. This is something we are very proud of especially as the world evolves with it’s food sources.

Why Mogumber?

Located just north of Perth, Mogumber is rich farming land, clean, open, and ideal for raising livestock naturally. Our cattle and sheep are free to graze, and we supplement their feed with wheat, barley and oats, all hormone-free, Locally sourced and free from BOVEA.

We’re hands-on. We know our animals. We know their diet, their environment, and their health and that gives us the confidence to say the meat you’re buying from us is the best it can be.

Because we manage the process from farm to counter, there’s less stress on the animals, better handling practices, and no shortcuts. The result is tender, flavourful meat with integrity.
