What Are the AMIC Excellence Awards?
The AMIC (Australian Meat Industry Council) Excellence Awards are one of the most prestigious recognition programs in the Australian meat and smallgoods industry. Products are judged by independent experts against strict national standards, so when you win, you’ve genuinely earned it.

What This Means to Us
Barbaro Smallgoods has been a Western Australian family business since 1987. Nearly 40 years. And in that time, the way we make our products hasn’t changed all that much, because why would it?
We use Australian pork, natural colours and flavours, and the same family recipes that have been passed down and refined over decades. Everything is dairy free and gluten free. And every single product that leaves our doors is made with the same care and pride as the first one we ever produced.
To have that recognised at a national level, not just with one award but across our entire range, is something we genuinely don’t take for granted.
